My name is Atanas and I am passionate about ophthalmology, science, learning, and sharing.

I am enthusiastic to know more and willing to push myself beyond my limits. I am happy to be part of the YO Newsletter Team by SOE (European Society of Ophthalmology). As an eye health professional, I have also taken part in numerous conferences, webinars, and presentations and have been featured on local and international medical websites such as The Ophthalmologist, OchnoZdrave, Zdrave.to and more.

Last but not least I believe in the power of sharing and therefore have created several platforms that aim to provide accurate, up-to-date information about eyecare to people and patients all over the world.

Full scholarship from the International Society of Refractive Surgery (part of the American Academy of Ophthalmology) for an Internship in Germany.

Membership in the German Doctor's Asociation

Approbation is the German regulatory process foreign doctors must go through to practice medicine legally in Germany. Includes a review of their qualifications and language proficiency, and passing an exam.
